Partners In Conservation (PIC) was founded in 1991 at the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium. Collaborating with its partners in Central Africa, PIC raises and distributes funds that benefit both wildlife and people.

PIC's work is driven by a vision for the coexistence of all living things. Your support is integral as we engage and invest in three key pillars - Gorilla Conservation and Health, Education and Sustainable Livelihoods, and Habitat Conservation and Protection.

Gorilla Conservation and Health
We are proud to partner with conservation programs actively working in Rwanda to protect the mountain gorilla and the neighboring critically endangered Grauer's gorilla.

Education and Sustainable Livelihoods
We believe that by helping local people to better their lives and thrive without poaching or deforestation, they are empowered to conserve their wild places.

Habitat Conservation and Protection
Habitat destruction is one of the greatest threats to wildlife globally, including in Central Africa.
